I’ve been slacking on english homework to work on this blog and to do other summer things. It has gotten me to thinking; I’m probably going to do poorly when school starts, and also about the word indulgence. I’ve been dieting somewhat-ish, and after I eat my salad with chicken and lemon juice, I say to myself, I need a reward. I then go and make myself an amazing sundae with every dressing imaginable. It makes me think that indulging is a bad thing, because the next day I look on the scale to see zero progress. But then, there’s so many good things that come with the word indulgence too. Like, when you indulge by buying that beautiful purse that you’ve wanted so badly, even though it costs a whole 4 weeks pay. Or also when you have one night to indulge yourself, by watching all your favorite movies and t.v shows and eating kettle corn, to relax from a hard week. I like to think that indulging is a good thing, and that every woman is entitled to her own big mac. I guess it’s really up to the person, and their situation. So I ask you, what do you indulge on? Me, I’m a fan of the fast food runs, and the pounds of Godiva chocolate I can hawk down within an hour. But then again, I would rather not gain a bunch of weight and just watch Sex and the City…
